AVR Motorsport to hold Driver search day
Mar 15th, 2010, 5:46am

AVR Motorsports is hosting a test day for their Formula 1200 race cars on April 3rd. The test will take place at the Mosport Driver Development Track. If you are new to this track, it is a very technical, exciting track, and very suitable for a Formula 1200 car.

You are required to bring your own driving suit, driving shoes, driving gloves, and helmet. Karting equipment is acceptable for the test day. A racing license is not required for the test day.

Schedule:
8:30am Mandatory driver briefing session – will give the drivers a short lesson on the cars, track rules, scheduling, etc.
9:15am First cars on track – sessions will run for 15min each following a pace car
12:00pm Lunch break
1:00pm Cars back on track – 15min sessions without a pace car

Drivers will be required to sign waivers prior to on-track activity, so we request that all drivers arrive at the track at least 30min before the driver briefing session. This will also give drivers and parents a chance to meet the AVR Motorsports team.

Cost:
The cost of the event is $600 + GST, payable in advance. The price includes:
• Fully race prepped BRD or Stiletto Formula 1200 race car
• Guaranteed 4 on track sessions (2 with pace car, 2 without pace car)
• Prior to on track driver briefing
• Mid-session debriefing and driver coaching
• Lunch

This is a perfect opportunity to see if the “next step” in auto racing is right for you. Spaces are limited and will be based off of a first come, first serve basis. For any further questions about the test day, or to sign up and reserve your spot, please contact Shane Viccary ASAP at sviccary@avrmotorsports.com or 647-290-8048.

**Please Note - AVRdoes not charge for spins or minor off track excursions, however, drivers are responsible for any and all damages incurred while they are behind the wheel.

Please contact either Shane Viccary at sviccary@avrmotorsports.com
